Run for God (M. Hollis) – This Bible study
parallels faith and endurance with a goal to take those who had never run to
their first 5K while teaching them to relate the great sport of running to
their walk with Christ. Grow your faith and
your endurance! Runners and walkers are encouraged to join. Interested in

(Leaders, Cheryl Clapp & Justin Snider)

Short-term Group
(begins Tuesday, January 31, at 10:00 a.m. at St. James for 6 weeks)

Every Step a Prayer (T.Hawkins) – While it's common knowledge that walking is good for physical
health, many people may never have considered that walking is also good for
their spiritual health. In this high-tech, fast-paced world, people long to
slow down. This study includes suggestions to help the reader experience
prayerful walking as a Christian spiritual practice that can help participants
find their way to God. An easy walking path through parts of St. James will be established
for you to walk individually or with friends. (Leader, Ann Wagle)

Short-term Group – (begins Saturday morning, March 4, for 5 weeks at St. James)

CREED
What Christians Believe and Why
(A. Hamilton) – Powerful answers to
many of our complicated questions can be found in the Apostles’ Creed, an early
statement of foundational Christian beliefs. In Creed,
we will explore not only what Christians believe, but also why they
believe, and why it matters, which in turn can lead us to confront and examine our
own core beliefs and go beyond reciting the Creed’s familiar words. (Leaders,
Randy Robinson & Justin Snider)

Short-term Group
(coming in mid-April for 4 weeks at St. James)

Hope Beyond Your Tears (T. Hudson) – In the face of grief and loss,
have you ever wondered how you will ever move beyond your tears and emptiness?
Is it possible to find purpose and meaning after you have suffered a major loss?
"The risen Christ meets us in our tears." With these gentle words, you
are invited to enter the deeply moving Gospel story of the garden encounter
between the risen Christ and Mary Magdalene on the first Easter morning. You
can discover how Christ's healing love can help you find the hope that lies on
the other side of your brokenness and grief. (Leader, Fran Schoon)

Women’s Covenant Group – (Meets 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month,
September-May)

This group has a time of personal sharing with prayer and a
time of Bible study. This year we are studying Soul Feast (Marjorie Thompson), a spiritual classic that offers a
framework for understanding the spiritual disciplines and instruction for
developing and nurturing those practices. (Leader, Ann Wagle)
