A quarterly plan to support active military and college students
The St. James Food Pantry’s mission it to give back to our community and less fortunate. The pantry has grown tremendously since its beginning in 2008.
Since 2016, the monthly food distribution has drawn in approximately 500 families and provides enough food to feed nearly 1600 people.
The food pantry is always held on the third Wednesday of the month.
Clients are invited to line up in their cars or in the walk up line for walkers at 1:30 before the food pantry distribution begins at 2:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.
As clients line up they must fill out paperwork for those living in their household.
When the line begins to move at 2:00 p.m., cars will go through the church’s portico to have the food placed in their vehicles.
Clients in the walk-up line will have food given to them in their line.
Food Distribution will be held the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
Food distribution begins at 2:00 p.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.
The preparation for each distribution requires a tremendous number of man hours and volunteers are always appreciated.
Please call the church office at 217-442-1504 for more information about volunteering.
